• ARRIVAL

    Someone from our team will be at the villa to welcome you on arrival and help you settle in. If we’ve arranged your airport transfer, your driver will keep us updated, so we can ensure everything is ready for your arrival. If you have arranged your own transport, please let us know when you are on your way. 

  • BATHROOM AMENITIES & HAIR DRYERS

    All of our bathrooms are stocked with hairdryers, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash for your convenience. We use ‘St. Lucy Botanist’s, a locally made, small-batch brand known for its natural ingredients and refreshing island-inspired scents. It’s a little touch of Barbados for you to enjoy during your stay.

  • BEACH FACILITY

    Guests of Tara House enjoy access to Rico’s on the Beach, which provides reserved loungers and umbrellas, clear waters, and a relaxed beachfront experience. Just minutes from the villa, Rico’s combines casual elegance with outstanding service, creating the perfect setting for effortless beach days.

  • BEACH TOWELS & EXTRAS

    We’ve provided a selection of extra amenities to help make your stay as comfortable as possible, including: umbrellas, torches, beach towels, sewing kits, shower caps and first aid supplies. If you need any of these, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask a member of our team. We’re always happy to assist.

  • BREAKAGES

    We completely understand that accidents happen.  If anything gets broken, damaged, or is not functioning as expected during your stay, we kindly ask that you let us know. This allows us to address it promptly, for your needs, avoid any further damage and ensure everything is in perfect order for future guests. 

  • CHEF SERVICES

    Chef services are included for three meals per day, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed and personalised dining experience. If you plan to have any external guests join you for a meal, we kindly ask that you inform the chefs in advance. A small additional charge will apply to cover the extra service and ingredients.

  • COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY

    Commercial photography and professional photo shoots are not permitted without prior written agreement. However, we absolutely welcome holiday photos for personal use; feel free to capture and enjoy the special moments of your stay. If you’re considering a shoot of any kind, please get in touch with us in advance to discuss.

  • COMMUNICATION

  • ENTRY GATE

    You’ll be provided with a remote control for the gate, and a screen in the kitchen allows you to view visitors before entry. There is also a pedestrian gate. The access code is 0315. Please note that if a vehicle stops in the main driveway before the hedge line ends, the gate’s sensors may prevent it from closing correctly.

  • FEEDBACK

    We’d love to hear about your stay. Your feedback is incredibly important to us; not only does it help us maintain and improve, but it also provides insight that allows us to personalise future stays even more thoughtfully, whether it’s a small detail that made your visit extra special or something you would have preferred. 

  • FINAL BILL

    If there are any outstanding charges (such as wine, additional transfers, or special services), we’ll share a summary before your departure. Payments can be settled by cash or bank transfer. We keep copies of all expense invoices and receipts and would be happy to supply you with these. 

  • GRATUITIES

    Should you wish to leave a gratuity for the team, it is always appreciated but never expected. Keri-Ann can supply you with an envelope for this purpose. We typically distribute gratuities evenly across the entire team, including our often unseen ancillary staff, who work behind the scenes to enhance your stay. 

  • KEY & REMOTE RETURNS

    Before departing, we kindly ask that you return any villa keys, gate remotes, or electronic fobs to Keri-Ann in person. If you don’t have the chance to see her before you leave, you’re also welcome to leave them safely on the kitchen counter. This helps us ensure everything is ready and secure for the next guests, thank you!

  • LAUNDRY

    We’re happy to assist with guest laundry during your stay. However, please note that we do not wash items labelled dry clean only or made of silk. We also kindly ask that you let us know if you have any delicate pieces or items that require special care when ironing, so we can handle them appropriately.

  • LAWS OF BARBADOS

    The villa operates in accordance with the laws of Barbados, and we kindly ask that all guests respect local regulations during their stay. In particular, please do not bring or use any illegal substances on the property. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for all.

  • LEFT OVER FOOD

    If you have any leftover food, drinks, or fridge items you won’t be taking with you, feel free to let us know. We’re happy to donate to local charities on your behalf. Of course, if there is anything you would like to have packed to take with you, please let us know, and we will be happy to help.

  • LIGHTS & MUSIC

    The orange iPad, which controls both the primary lighting and the Sonos speakers throughout the property, can be located in the top left drawer in the kitchen. The code for the iPad is 231278. The three apps you need are: Sonos and SoundCloud for music and Kasa for lighting. All are intuitive. 

  • LOST & FOUND

    Before you leave, we encourage you to check carefully for chargers, passports, and any other personal items, including the contents of your in-room safes. If you realise something was left behind, please let us know as soon as possible and we’ll do our best to reunite you with it quickly. 

  • MASSAGE & SPA SERVICES

    In-villa massage and spa services can be arranged for an additional fee. External professionals provide these treatments, and while we are happy to coordinate on your behalf, we are sure that you will understand that Tara House cannot accept responsibility for the services provided by third-party suppliers.

  • MEDICAL CENTRE

    While we sincerely hope you won’t need this information during your stay, Sandy Crest Medical Centre is a 24-hour medical facility located in Sunset Crest, Holetown, offering a range of services including emergency care and family medicine. Payment options include cash, Visa, Mastercard, and debit cards. Telephone: +1 246 419-4911.

  • PARTIES & EXTRA GUESTS

    Parties are not permitted at the villa. While we understand it’s fun to meet new friends while on holiday, we kindly ask that you don’t invite them to the villa or ask them to stay overnight. Any additional guests must be approved in advance by the villa team. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • PELOTON SAFETY

    The Peloton is for adult use only. For safety, please keep the surrounding area clear and never reach or place anything underneath while it’s powered on. When you have finished using it, please switch it off, unplug it, remove the safety key and store it somewhere safe and out of reach of children. 

  • PERSONAL STREAMING ACCOUNTS

    As a gentle reminder, if you’ve logged into any personal streaming accounts on our TVs during your stay, such as Netflix, Disney+, or Amazon Prime, please remember to log out before you depart. This helps protect your privacy and ensures a clean slate for the next guests.

  • POOL SAFETY

    Use of the pool and surrounding deck are at your own risk. Please exercise caution, when surfaces are wet, as all wet surfaces can become slippery. Please walk rather than run, and supervise children at all times. Diving isn’t permitted, and please avoid bringing glass near the pool and dry off before heading indoors.

  • REPEAT GUESTS

    We truly value our relationships with our guests, and there’s nothing more rewarding than welcoming back familiar faces. We prioritise return guests wherever possible, holding preferred dates while you finalise your plans and we’ll always try to make each visit feel even more special than the last.

  • SAUNA SAFETY

    Use of the sauna is at your own risk. Begin with short sessions at lower temperatures. If you feel dizzy, overheated, or unwell, exit immediately. Avoid using if consuming alcohol or a heavy meal, and cool down gently afterwards. If you have any medical conditions or are pregnant, please consult your doctor before use.

  • SECURITY

    The property is gated and fully enclosed to ensure your privacy and peace of mind.  Discreet security cameras are positioned around the exterior for added reassurance. Ashton Hall is a quiet, residential neighbourhood, and we’re fortunate to have a friendly and caring relationship with all of our neighbours.

  • SMOKING

    We kindly ask that there be no smoking of any kind inside the villa. Cigarettes, cigars, and vapes are permitted in the garden areas, and we ask that you please use the ashtrays provided. To help us keep the gardens clean and beautiful, please avoid discarding any cigarette butts on the ground.

  • SOCIAL MEDIA

    We love staying connected with our guests and sharing a little bit of the Tara House magic all year-round. If you’d like to follow along, we post updates, behind-the-scenes moments, and a touch of island inspiration. We also warmly welcome you to tag us in your own memories, we love seeing Tara through your eyes.

  • STAFF

    Aside from our reservations team, we provide concierge and villa manager services. Your villa manager is Keri-Ann Husbands. She is on the property Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Housekeeping is daily from 8:30 am-4 pm, with reduced service at weekends.

  • TELEVISIONS

    There are HD Smart TVs in The Great Room and The Sanctuary. You will be able to log in to all of the expected streaming services, such as Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+, and ESPN, with your personal credentials. We politely request that you don’t upload photographs or any personal documents. 

  • VOLTAGE

    Voltage is 110v and the plugs are North American style Type A and Type B plugs: Type A plugs have two flat parallel prongs (ungrounded) and Type B, have two flat parallel prongs with a round grounding pin. These plugs operate on 110–120 volts. If you require an adapter, please ask Keri-Ann.

  • WIFI

    The Wifi network name is MFI and the password is MCF@cc3ssCon! It is a high-speed service with strong, reliable connectivity throughout the entire property, including the garden and poolside areas. Whether you’re streaming, working remotely, or staying in touch,  you should enjoy consistent access.
